Download: Downloading the STACS Local Machine Version is the most convenient way to evaluate the STACS application. All information is written to the local machine and you can pose as an added student to sit a test. You can also use the STACS Local Machine Version to update a teacher folder offline.
The AllSTACSExtras Folder, the HowTo Videos Folder and the Offline Test Creator application are included in the STACS Local Machine Folder download.
Download the zipped STACSLocalMachineInstallFolder.zip folder to a distribution medium (USB stick, flash drive, SD card, etc.) by clicking on the link at the bottom of this screen. Dropbox will open. Follow the latest Dropbox instructions to download the zipped folder. Click on ‘Save as’ at the bottom of the screen and save the STACSLocalMachineInstallFolder.zip folder to the distribution medium. Exact download instructions vary slightly depending on operating system. Use the method appropriate to your operating system to download the STACSLocalMachineInstallFolder.zip folder.
Installation: By installing the Local Machine Version of STACS, you agree to the STACS Licence Agreement. This agreement can be viewed from the main menu of this site. It can also be downloaded from the Downloads menu item and is also available in the installation folder.
The AllSTACSExtrasFolder folder contains resources such as Excel Templates, Offline Test Creator Application, Installation and Operation Manuals and Sample Tests.
Follow the instructions in the STACS Installation & Operation Manual (available for download in the STACS Manuals item of the Downloads tab in the top menu of this site) or follow the instructions on the appropriate page of the STACS Installation Instructions tab of this site to install STACS.
