This is a brief introduction to the features of STACS. For a more detailed description, move the mouse over STACS Features in the top menu and select the item you require from the fly out. Screenshots of all the STACS menu items are included in the relevant menu items of the STACS Features page.
STACS has the following main menu items:
Add Menu for creating teacher folders and adding classes and students to teacher folders that have been created.
Update Menu for updating student results, adding non-STACS test results, resetting test to ‘Not Yet Done’ (allowing student(s) to re-sit a test), creating a STACS test file (Offline Test Creator), backing up teacher folders to external backup medium and restoring teacher folders from external backup medium.
Edit Menu for editing teacher names, class names and student names.
View Menu for viewing student and class results, viewing test bank test file names and viewing instructions on how to access the ‘How To’ videos.
Delete Menu for deleting classes and students from a teacher folder, deleting student folders from a class folder, deleting a test file already uploaded for a student group (this is a security measure), deleting test files for a class to free space and clear the test bank for a class.
Upload Menu for uploading test files to a Teacher/Class test bank for future use or uploading a test file to student folders for students to sit a test.
Export Menu for exporting test files or test file print versions, exporting student or class results as CSV or exporting student lists as text files.
Print Menu outlines options for printing student results, class results or student lists.
Help Menu that provides limited general introductory help, as there is a context sensitive ‘Click for Help’ button in the bottom left-hand corner of most screens.
Exit Menu for exit with backup or without backup.
