The Update menu of STACS is shown below.

Update Student Test Result: If a student misses a test, the teacher can give a ‘paper test’ to that student.  (For this purpose, a printable version of any test without answers and an answer sheet can be accessed using the ‘Export Test File Print Version’ item of the Export menu.). The result can then be updated using this item.

Add Non-STACS Test Results: This allows the addition of results for tests taken outside of STACS, such as mid term or end of term tests. 

Reset Test Status to ‘Not Yet Done’: This resets a student test score to -1 (how STACS knows that a test has not been taken yet) to allow the student to sit the test again. Otherwise, if the student tries to sit a test a second time, the message ‘Test Already Done’ is displayed.

Create Test File (STACS Offline Test Creator): This feature allows a test file to be created using a template that accepts 20 questions, five possible answers for each question and the correct answer for each question. The test is stored in a  temporary location requested from the user. Once created, the test can then be distributed to other teachers or uploaded to a Teacher/Class test bank.

Back Up Teacher Folder to External Backup Medium: For security purposes and offline use with the STACS Local Machine Version, teachers can back up their own teacher folder and delete the folder from the server on exit from the system.

Restore Teacher Folder from External Backup Medium: This option can be used to restore a teacher folder from backup medium prior to further use.
