STACS Local Machine Version: A free version of STACS that can be used to assess STACS or to update a teacher folder without being connected to a network. If a teacher folder is created with the intention of using it with a server version of STACS later, it will be fully compatible with that server version.

STACS Server Multi Teacher Evaluation Version: A fully functional version of STACS that is available for evaluation purposes. This version is only available by email. It accommodates any number of teachers, classes and students and it is free to use for three months after download. Any teacher folders created with valid teacher and student log on names and passwords will be fully compatible with any full server version if purchased later. If a Server Multi Teacher Version is purchased, it can be used by potential newcomers to the system to evaluate STACS.

STACS Server Single Teacher and Server Multi Teacher Versions: These are full commercial versions of STACS and will be available in the near future. They require a security dongle before they can be used. The supplied dongle determines whether the licence is for the Server Single Teacher Version or for the Server Multi Teacher Version. All teacher folders created with the Local Machine or Evaluation Versions will be fully compatible with the server versions.
